Agent Skills

Give AI coding agents the knowledge they need to build, run, optimize, and troubleshoot workloads on Intel hardware.

Overview

AI coding agents can write code, but they don't automatically know the best way to run, profile, optimize, or troubleshoot that code on Intel hardware. Agent Skills provide reusable, task-specific guidance that agents can discover and use when needed.

Each skill captures a practical workflow rather than product documentation. It inspects the environment, chooses a supported path, does the work, verifies the outcome, and handles the failures that actually happen.

Skills are Intel-maintained and open source. Browse the source on GitHub.

How it works

  1. Install

Add a skill with one npx command. Choose your agent and where it lives.

  2. Ask

Describe the task in your own words. You don't need to know the skill's name.

  3. Your agent follows the workflow

It reads each skill's description, opens the match, then inspects the environment, does the work, and verifies the result.

Usage

With a skill installed, work normally with your agent. Start a new session and describe the task. The agent reads each installed skill's description and opens the one that matches, providing Intel-specific guidance when relevant.

Describe the task

Recommended

Naming a skill is optional. The agent picks the right one.

    3. Select the installation scopeGlobal makes the skill available across projects. Project installs it only for the current project.
    4. Select the installation methodRecommendedChoose Symlink.
    5. Start your coding agentAfter installation completes, start or restart your agent. The skill is now available for relevant tasks.
  3. Verify your installation
